Acer Nitro V 15.6" 144Hz Gaming Laptop

The Acer Nitro V 15 combines a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU rated at 75 W MGP. It ships with 16 GB of DDR5 memory and a 512 GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD running Windows 11 Home. This configuration targets gamers and creators who need a portable 15.6 inch Full HD IPS display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 82.64 % screen-to-body ratio.

RTX 4050 75 W MGP Graphics Limit

The RTX 4050 Laptop GPU operates at a maximum graphics power of 75 W, which caps its sustained clock speeds compared to higher-wattage variants in thicker chassis. The 144 Hz panel refresh rate sets the practical ceiling for visible frame rates in competitive titles. System memory is expandable to 32 GB of DDR5, while the single PCIe Gen 4 slot limits future storage additions to one drive.

Dual-Fan Cooling and Field Upgrades

Dual fans and an exhaust system manage thermals for the 75 W GPU and 13th Gen CPU during extended sessions. The SO-DIMM slots and M.2 socket are accessible after removing the base cover, allowing DDR5 upgrades to 32 GB and SSD replacement. Builders who need more storage than a single 512 GB drive or who prefer a higher-wattage GPU for heavier workloads should consider alternative chassis designs.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 16GB DDR5 model or plan for the 32GB maximum?

The laptop ships with 16GB DDR5 and supports up to 32GB total, so you can upgrade later if workloads demand more memory.

What does the RTX 4050 75W rating mean for actual gaming frame rates?

The 75W maximum graphics power lets the RTX 4050 sustain higher clocks under load, delivering smoother 1080p gaming on the 144Hz panel.

Is the 512GB drive PCIe Gen 4 NVMe and does that cap transfer speeds?

Yes, the 512GB SSD uses PCIe Gen 4 NVMe, so sequential reads and writes hit Gen 4 limits for fast game loads and file transfers.
