Predator Triton 16 Gaming Laptop

The Acer Predator Triton 16 is a 16 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i7 13th Gen 14-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR6 video memory. It targets players and creators who want high frame rates on a 240Hz QHD+ panel in a silver chassis. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 license ship pre-installed.

Aluminium Chassis With Full Port Array

The 0.78 inch thin aluminium body weighs 5.29 pounds and fits a 14.11 by 10.33 inch footprint. Connectivity includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with DisplayPort and power-off charging at 10Gbps, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports at 5Gbps, an RJ-45 jack, an HDMI 2.1 output and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. A per-key RGB keyboard, fingerprint reader and 1080p webcam complete the daily workflow.

240Hz WQXGA G-SYNC Display Decides Fit

The 16 inch 2560 x 1600 anti-glare IPS panel runs at 240Hz with 500 nits brightness and 100 percent sRGB coverage. G-SYNC support eliminates tearing without software overhead. If your games or creative apps benefit from that refresh rate and colour accuracy at this resolution, the screen justifies the purchase; if you need higher resolution or lower refresh, look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What does the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port at 10Gbps cap for external display output?

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port supports DisplayPort alternate mode, so it can drive an external monitor at up to the display's native resolution and refresh rate within the 10Gbps bandwidth limit.

What are the exact chassis dimensions and weight for bag or sleeve fitting?

The chassis measures 14.11 x 10.33 x 0.78 inches and weighs 5.29 pounds, so choose a sleeve or backpack compartment rated for at least a 16-inch laptop with those depth and weight allowances.

How is the Windows 11 Home and Office 2024 licence activated on first boot, and what step do people miss?

On first boot, connect to the internet via Wi-Fi 6E or the RJ-45 port; Windows 11 Home activates automatically with a digital licence, then sign in with a Microsoft account to bind the Office 2024 licence — skipping the Microsoft account sign-in leaves Office unlicensed.
