Headset and intended use

The actoper K5 is a wired headset with a 3.5 mm four-pole connector and an additional USB plug for the monochrome lighting. A 50 mm dynamic driver delivers a frequency response of 20 to 20000 Hz at 32 ohm impedance and 48 dB sensitivity. The 2.2 m braided cable and leather earpads are built for extended sessions on tablet, single-hole notebook, mobile phone, PS4 or Xbox One. A conversion cable in the box enables desktop PC use.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Gamers and multimedia users who want a single headset for console, mobile and PC with a straightforward analogue connection will find the K5 practical. Buyers who need a detachable microphone, active noise cancellation or wireless freedom should look elsewhere. The fixed cable and non-folding frame also make it less convenient for frequent travel.

The specification that decides fit

The 3.5 mm four-pole plus USB interface determines compatibility: it plugs directly into a PS4 or Xbox One controller, a single-hole notebook or a mobile device, while desktop PCs require the supplied conversion cable. If your setup lacks a 3.5 mm combined audio jack or a USB port for the lighting, this headset will not connect without an additional adapter.

Questions about this item

What devices can I plug the 3.5 mm four-pole jack into without the included conversion cable?

The 3.5 mm four-pole jack works directly with single-hole notebooks, mobile phones, tablets, PS4 and XBOX ONE controllers.

Will the 50 mm dynamic drivers and 32 ohm impedance run loud enough from a PS4 or XBOX ONE controller?

Yes, the 32 ohm impedance and 48 dB sensitivity are designed to be driven by PS4 and XBOX ONE controller outputs without extra amplification.

How can I confirm the headset is receiving audio correctly after connecting it?

You should hear sound across the 20–20,000 Hz frequency response range and the monochrome lighting on the ear cups will be illuminated when the USB plug is powered.
