What the kit adapts

The Acuity Lithonia DGA24 Drywall Grid Adapter Kit fits any 2 ft x 4 ft grid troffer. It allows the fixture to be mounted in a drywall ceiling opening instead of a suspended grid. The kit is new and ships from the supplier for orders of 75 or more.

Behaviour under sustained load

The adapter is built from acrylic with an unfinished white finish. Its overall length measures 48 3/4 in to match the troffer dimensions. The materials are intended to remain stable during continuous fixture operation without warping or discolouration.

Deciding specification

The single specification that determines fit is the 2 ft x 4 ft grid troffer compatibility. Buyers with fixtures of a different footprint cannot use this kit. No other dimensions or mounting standards are supported.

Questions about this item

Does the adapter kit add any fan noise or heat when the troffer runs all day?

The kit is a passive acrylic adapter with no moving parts, so it adds no fan noise or heat during continuous operation.

What must I already own for the DGA24 to work?

You need an existing 2 ft x 4 ft grid troffer; the adapter fits that fixture to a drywall opening.

Will the 48 3/4 in adapter align with older 2 ft x 4 ft troffers I want to keep?

Yes, the 48 3/4 in overall length matches the standard 2 ft x 4 ft grid troffer size for direct compatibility.
