100GBASE-CWDM4 QSFP28 transceiver module
This 100GBASE-CWDM4 QSFP28 optical transceiver delivers 100 Gbps connectivity over single-mode fibre. It targets network engineers upgrading data-centre links or campus backbones. The module operates across a commercial temperature range of 0 to 70 °C (32 to 158 °F) for stable indoor deployment.
2 km reach at 1310 nm over duplex LC
The transceiver uses CWDM4 wavelengths at 1310 nm to achieve a 2 km link distance on standard duplex LC single-mode fibre. Maximum power draw is 3.5 W, and the electrical interface complies with IEEE 802.3bm 100GBASE-IR4. Built-in digital optical monitoring provides real-time diagnostics for link health.
Hot-pluggable QSFP28 MSA form factor
The hot-pluggable QSFP28 MSA design allows insertion or removal without powering down the switch. RoHS-6 compliance simplifies procurement for regulated environments. EEPROM coding is validated in a compatibility lab for Cisco QSFP-100G-CWDM4-S and QSFP-100G-SM-SR platforms. The module also supports 100G to 4x25G breakout configurations, freeing up ports for flexible aggregation.
