10G PCIe Network Card
The Adafruit 10G PCIe Network Card adds a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port to a desktop PC through a PCIe slot. It is aimed at users who move large files or run bandwidth-heavy services on a wired local network.
PCIe slot and cabling limits
The card fits PCI-Express X4, X8 or X16 slots, so it requires a free slot of at least four lanes. Throughput reaches the rated rate only with Cat6a or Cat7 cabling; lesser cables will restrict speed.
Marvell AQC113 controller and RJ45 port
The Marvell AQC113 chipset handles the 10G Base-T signalling and supports Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux. A single standard RJ45 jack connects to existing patch panels or switches without special transceivers.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the X4, X8 or X16 slot for this card?
The adapter works in any PCI-Express X4, X8 or X16 slot; use the first free slot that matches your motherboard layout.
What does the 10 Gigabit per second rating mean for everyday file transfers?
It enables up to 10 Gbit/s throughput over Cat6a or Cat7 cable, so large project folders and media libraries move noticeably faster than on standard 1 Gbit/s links.
Does the Marvell AQC113 controller limit the link to a specific PCIe generation?
The controller supports PCI-Express X4, X8 and X16 slots; the actual lane width and generation are negotiated with your motherboard at boot.
