Ryzen 9 9900X3D Workstation PC

This system pairs a 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor with 128GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. It targets professionals who need high parallel throughput for modelling, rendering and AI workloads alongside high-fidelity gaming capability. The platform runs Windows 11 Pro on an X870 motherboard.

Sustained load thermal behaviour

A 240mm liquid cooler handles the CPU while the case uses two 140mm front fans to move air across the GPU and motherboard. The 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply delivers stable current during long render or training sessions. Liquid cooling keeps the 12-core chip near its 5.50 GHz boost ceiling without thermal throttling.

128GB DDR5 capacity decides fit

Four populated slots leave no room for further memory expansion on this board. Buyers who need more than 128GB must choose a different platform. The 1TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive offers 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes for fast project loading.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 240 mm liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 9 9900X3D and RTX 5090 during all-day workloads?

The 240 mm Quiet Edition AIO and the case's 140 mm PWM fans are designed for low-noise operation while the 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU runs efficiently, keeping thermals controlled under sustained loads.

Which display cables and monitor inputs do I need to use the RTX 5090 32 GB immediately?

The RTX 5090 uses a PCI Express x16 slot and standard DisplayPort or HDMI outputs, so a monitor with matching inputs and the appropriate cable is all that is required.

Will my existing SATA SSDs and hard drives work with the X870 motherboard inside this system?

Yes, the TUF X870-PLUS provides two SATA 6 Gb/s ports and the case includes two 3.5 inch and two 2.5 inch drive bays for adding legacy storage.
