Workstation for CAD and simulation

This desktop is built around a 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor and an NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell graphics card with 16GB memory. It targets engineers and designers who run SolidWorks, CAM or CAE workloads that demand high single-thread frequency and certified drivers. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and liquid cooling for sustained loads.

Memory ceiling and storage tiers

The board is populated with 192GB of DDR5, which is also the maximum the platform supports, so no further RAM upgrades are possible. A 2TB NVMe drive delivers up to 7450 MB/s reads for active projects, while a 10TB hard drive with 256MB cache provides deep archival capacity. When the NVMe fills, workflow shifts to the slower mechanical tier.

GPU VRAM defines the model limit

The RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell includes 16GB of video memory, which caps the complexity of assemblies, texture sets or simulation meshes that fit in hardware. Larger datasets will spill to system RAM and lose interactive performance. Buyers whose models exceed this frame buffer need a card with more VRAM.

Questions about this item

Can I add my existing DDR5 modules alongside the 192GB already installed on this X870 motherboard?

The board supports a maximum of 192GB DDR5, which is already populated, so no further memory can be added without removing the supplied modules.

How do I verify the RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell GPU is running at PCI Express x16 speed after setup?

Open GPU-Z or the NVIDIA control panel and confirm the link width reads x16 and the GPU name shows RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell.

What peripherals are included in the box and what must I source separately?

The desktop ships with the Antec P10 FLUX case, 850W PSU, liquid cooler, motherboard, CPU, 192GB DDR5, 2TB NVMe SSD, 10TB HDD, RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell graphics card and Windows 11 Pro; a monitor, keyboard and mouse are not included.
