Installation Notes

The CoolerMaster HAF 500 case arrives fully assembled with the 240mm AIO liquid cooler mounted and all cables routed. Front-panel I/O includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connector and an ARGB control button. The Thermaltake Smart 750W power supply uses a single 140mm fan; ensure the rear exhaust path remains clear so the unit can draw cool air from outside the chassis.

Compatibility Checklist

Verify that your monitor provides a DisplayPort or HDMI input capable of the resolution and refresh rate you require. The motherboard offers four M.2 slots and four SATA 6Gb/s ports for future storage expansion up to the 192GB memory ceiling. Rear connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, USB 20Gbps Type-C, 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 — confirm your peripherals and network hardware can use these standards.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 14-core Intel Core Ultra 5 245K is running at its 4.2 GHz base speed after setup?

Open Task Manager in Windows 11 Pro, select the Performance tab and watch the CPU clock settle at 4.2 GHz under light load; the 240 mm liquid cooler keeps temperatures steady so the cores maintain that frequency.

What comes in the box and what must I add myself?

The Cooler Master HAF 500 case arrives fully assembled with the Z890-PLUS TUF motherboard, 128 GB DDR5, 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe, 10 TB HDD, RTX 5070 12 GB, 750 W PSU and Windows 11 Pro installed — only a monitor, keyboard and mouse are needed.

Should I choose the 128 GB DDR5 configuration or the 192 GB maximum?

The system ships with 128 GB DDR5 across four slots; if your workloads regularly exceed that, you can populate the remaining capacity up to 192 GB, otherwise the factory 128 GB is ready for gaming and workstation tasks.
