16-Core Liquid-Cooled Desktop

The Adamant Custom tower pairs a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X processor with a 360 mm liquid cooler and 64 GB of DDR5 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, a 1 TB NVMe boot drive and a 10 TB hard drive for bulk storage. The GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card delivers 8 GB of video memory for 1440p gaming and creative workloads.

Upgrading from air-cooled 8-core systems

Builders moving from an 8-core air-cooled rig gain double the core count and sustained boost clocks thanks to the liquid loop. The jump is worth it when rendering, compiling or streaming while gaming pushes the previous CPU past its thermal ceiling. The 850 W Bronze power supply and X870 motherboard also leave headroom for future GPU upgrades.

Limits of the PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe interface

The Samsung 990 PRO reaches sequential reads of 7450 MB/s and writes of 6900 MB/s, which saturates the PCIe 4.0 x4 link. Workloads that demand higher sustained throughput — such as uncompressed 8K video capture — will hit this ceiling. The board provides four M.2 slots, but only the primary slot runs at full x4 speed from the CPU.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 360 mm AIO radiator need inside the Antec P20 case?

The radiator fits the 469 mm depth of the Antec P20 mid-tower and uses the three 120 mm front fan mounts, leaving the top and rear positions free for additional airflow.

Which CPU power connectors must be seated on the TUF X870-PLUS motherboard for the Ryzen 9 9950X?

Connect both the 24-pin ATX and the 8-pin EPS cables from the Thermaltake Smart 850 W PSU; missing the EPS plug is the most common reason the system will not post.

When should the liquid cooler's coolant be checked or replaced?

The sealed 360 mm AIO is maintenance-free for the life of the cooler; only clean the radiator fins and front dust filters periodically to keep temperatures low.
