Built for Professional Workloads

This desktop combines a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor with an Nvidia RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell GPU featuring 48GB memory. It targets engineers and designers running SolidWorks, CAD, CAM or CAE simulations that demand high core counts and large GPU frame buffers. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and 128GB of DDR5 RAM.

Upgrading from Entry Workstations

The jump is worth it when projects exceed the memory or compute limits of consumer-grade hardware. The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive and 10TB HDD provide fast active storage plus deep archival capacity. Liquid cooling on the CPU sustains boost clocks during long render or simulation runs.

Platform Limits to Consider

The Gigabyte X870 AORUS motherboard caps total system memory at 192GB across four slots, so the current 128GB kit leaves room for one more upgrade. Storage expansion uses SATA 6Gb/s ports and three M.2 connectors sharing PCIe 4.0x4 lanes. Network connectivity relies on Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 2x2 wireless.

Questions about this item

What case dimensions and drive bays does the Corsair 4000D chassis provide for this build?

The Corsair 4000D measures 490 x 239 x 486 mm and includes two internal 3.5-inch bays and two internal 2.5-inch bays for storage expansion.

How is the 360 mm liquid cooler mounted, and what step do builders often miss?

The 360 mm AIO radiator mounts to the case roof or front using the supplied brackets; the step often missed is removing the protective film from the cold-plate before seating it on the Ryzen 9 9950X.

When will the 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU or the 10 TB HDD likely need replacement?

The Thermaltake 1200 W Gold unit typically runs 8–10 years before capacitor ageing warrants a swap, while the 10 TB HDD should be monitored after 5 years and replaced if SMART reallocated sectors rise.
