Custom workstation for SolidWorks and CAD

This Adamant Custom desktop targets engineers and designers who run SolidWorks, CAD, CAM and CAE workloads. A 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X at 4.3 GHz and an RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell with 48 GB VRAM drive modelling, simulation and rendering tasks. 48 GB of DDR5 and a 2 TB NVMe SSD keep large assemblies responsive. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed.

PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD ceiling and 2.5 Gb Ethernet

The Samsung 990 PRO tops out at 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write on the motherboard's PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes, so sequential throughput cannot exceed those figures. Intel 2.5 Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 2x2 provide wired and wireless connectivity, but the 2.5 Gb link caps sustained network transfers. Four M.2 slots exist, yet only the primary runs at full x4 speed.

Pre-built with liquid cooling, check drive bays

The system arrives assembled with a 360 mm AIO cooler and a 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU, so no CPU cooler mounting or power-cable routing is required. Two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch internal bays are populated by the 10 TB HDD and SSD, leaving no free bays for extra drives without removing existing storage. Motherboard USB headers include one 10 Gbps Type-C, one 5 Gbps and two 2.0 headers for front-panel expansion.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 48GB DDR5 configuration or upgrade to the 192GB maximum?

The system ships with 48GB DDR5 across four slots, leaving no empty slots; reaching 192GB would require replacing all modules with higher-capacity sticks.

What does the Ryzen 9 9950X 4.3GHz base clock mean for daily workloads?

The 16-core processor runs at 4.3GHz base and can boost up to 5.70GHz with 64MB L3 cache, delivering strong multi-threaded performance for CAD, rendering and simulation tasks.

How fast is the 2TB Samsung 990 PRO over the PCIe 4.0x4 link?

The drive is rated for up to 7450 MB/s sequential read and 6900 MB/s sequential write, so large project files and OS operations load at near-peak PCIe 4.0 speeds.
