16-Core Ryzen 9 9950X Workstation

This desktop PC pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor with an Nvidia RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell GPU carrying 24GB of video memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB NVMe SSD plus a 10TB hard drive. Liquid cooling and an 850W power supply complete the build.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The system targets engineers and designers running SolidWorks, CAD, CAM or CAE workloads that benefit from high single-thread frequency and professional graphics drivers. Buyers who need more than 32GB of memory out of the box should look elsewhere, as should anyone requiring a multi-GPU configuration or ECC memory support.

The spec that decides fit

The 24GB frame buffer on the RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell determines whether large assemblies and simulation datasets stay resident in GPU memory. If your typical scene exceeds that capacity, you will hit system-memory swapping and need a card with a larger buffer.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360mm liquid cooler on the AM5 socket, and what step do people usually miss?

Mount the supplied AM5 bracket, apply paste, seat the cold-plate, then connect the pump header and the 360mm radiator fans to the motherboard fan headers so the curve ramps with CPU temperature.

Which component will need replacement first under heavy SolidWorks loads, and when?

The 850W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU is the likeliest candidate; sustained 16-core plus 24GB GPU draw can push it near its continuous rating after several years.

What thermal limit appears first during an all-core 5.70 GHz render?

The 360mm AIO reaches its heat-rejection ceiling before the Ryzen 9 9950X hits its 95 °C throttle point, so coolant temperature becomes the bottleneck.
