Workstation desktop for engineering simulation

This mid-tower workstation pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D with 192GB DDR5 and an NVIDIA RTX A4000 16GB GPU. It targets engineers and analysts running SolidWorks, CAD, CAM or CAE workloads that demand high thread counts and professional driver certification. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro on a 4TB NVMe boot drive plus a 10TB HDD for project archives.

Sustained compute with liquid cooling

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO keeps the 16-core processor stable during long simulation runs rather than short benchmark bursts. The 850W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU delivers continuous power to CPU and GPU without throttling. Samsung 990 PRO storage sustains 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes across large dataset loads.

Quiet mid-tower thermals

Antec P10 FLUX case uses sound-dampening panels and five 120mm fans plus a 140mm PSU fan for low-noise airflow. Liquid CPU cooler and GPU exhaust heat directly out of the chassis. Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 2x2 provide wired and wireless connectivity without adding acoustic load.

Questions about this item

How quiet is the 360 mm liquid cooler and the case fans when the Ryzen 9 9950X3D runs at full load all day?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO and the Antec P10 FLUX case fans — three 120 mm front, one 120 mm rear and one 120 mm PSU shroud fan — are designed for low-noise operation; a front fan-control button lets you lower speeds further.

What must I already own for this desktop to work out of the box?

Only a display, keyboard and mouse are required; Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, the 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU powers every internal component, and the motherboard provides 2.5 Gb Ethernet plus Wi-Fi 7 2x2 wireless.

Can I keep my older SATA drives and USB 2.0 peripherals with the Gigabyte X870 EAGLE motherboard?

Yes — the board has four SATA 6 Gb/s ports and four USB 2.0 rear ports plus four USB 2.0 internal headers, so legacy drives and devices connect directly.
