20-Core Liquid-Cooled Workstation

The Adamant Custom desktop pairs a 20-core Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor with 64 GB of DDR5 memory and a 240 mm liquid cooler in a Corsair 4000D chassis. It targets professionals who need sustained multi-threaded throughput for rendering, compilation or data analysis without adding a discrete graphics card.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The 240 mm Quiet Edition AIO keeps the CPU near its 5.50 GHz boost ceiling during long workloads, while the Thermaltake Smart 750 W 80 PLUS Bronze supply delivers stable power with over-voltage, under-voltage and short-circuit protection. Integrated graphics share system memory, so extended compute tasks remain limited by the 64 GB DDR5 pool rather than a dedicated VRAM buffer.

Build Quality And Connectivity

The tempered-glass case offers two internal 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch bays behind a 140 mm low-noise fan, with front-panel USB 3.2 Type-C and audio combo jack. Rear I/O includes Thunderbolt 4 Type-C, USB 20 Gbps Type-C, three USB 10 Gbps and three USB 5 Gbps ports, plus Intel 2.5 Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Four M.2 slots and four SATA 6 Gb/s connectors allow further storage expansion alongside the 1 TB NVMe SSD and 10 TB hard drive.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 240mm liquid cooler when the 20-core CPU runs at 5.50 GHz all day?

The 240mm Quiet Edition AIO uses a 140mm fan designed for low noise, and the 750W Bronze PSU also runs an ultra-quiet 140mm fan, keeping acoustic levels low under sustained load.

Does the Z890 motherboard need a separate graphics card for the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs to work?

No. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K includes integrated graphics that drive the rear HDMI and DisplayPort directly; a discrete GPU is optional.

Can I keep my existing SATA SSDs and mechanical drives when moving to this system?

Yes. The board provides four SATA 6Gb/s ports and the Corsair 4000D case has two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch internal bays for additional drives.
