20-Core Ultra 7 Workstation

This desktop pairs a 20-core Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor with 192GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. It targets professionals who need high-thread compute for rendering, modelling and AI learning workloads alongside gaming capability. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and a 240mm liquid cooler for the CPU.

Samsung 990 PRO SSD Impact

The 4TB Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0x4 drive delivers sequential reads up to 7450 MB/sec and writes up to 6900 MB/sec, cutting load times for large project files and datasets. A 10TB hard drive with 256MB cache adds bulk capacity for archives and media libraries. Four M.2 slots on the Z890 motherboard allow further expansion without removing the primary drive.

PCIe 4.0 and Thunderbolt 4 Limits

The primary SSD and GPU operate over PCIe 4.0 lanes, so peak throughput caps at the 4.0 specification even if future drives support faster signalling. Rear-panel Thunderbolt 4 provides 40Gbps external bandwidth, but cable length and device controllers determine real-world speed. Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5Gb Ethernet share platform resources, so simultaneous heavy traffic on both interfaces may reduce individual throughput.

Questions about this item

Will the 240 mm liquid cooler need refilling or pump replacement later?

The 240 mm quiet-edition AIO is a sealed loop; no refilling is required and the pump is rated for continuous operation without user service.

What thermal limit appears first when the 20-core Ultra 7 265K runs at 5.50 GHz all day?

The CPU will hit its 30 MB L3 cache thermal ceiling before the 240 mm radiator saturates, so sustained clocks throttle to protect the package.

How loud and hot does the 1000 W Gold PSU get with the RTX 5090 under full load?

The 140 mm PSU fan runs ultra-quiet while the 80 Plus Gold unit keeps waste heat low, so case temps stay manageable during extended sessions.
