Workstation for CAD and Simulation

This desktop pairs a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900K with an Nvidia RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell graphics card carrying 48GB of memory. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR5 RAM and a 4TB NVMe SSD provide fast access to large assemblies and simulation datasets. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 360mm liquid cooler in a mid-tower case.

Upgrade from consumer or older workstation hardware

The jump is worthwhile when projects exceed the GPU memory or core count of mainstream cards and CPUs. Forty-eight gigabytes of video memory and 24 CPU cores let you keep complex models in core without swapping to disk. Builders who need a second card or more than 192GB of system memory should look elsewhere.

Straightforward component access

The Corsair 4000D chassis offers tool-less side panels and labelled front-panel headers for the motherboard Z790 TUF. A 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply includes the required PCIe cables for the GPU. Ensure the 360mm radiator fits your chosen mounting location before ordering.

Questions about this item

What case dimensions and drive bays does the Corsair 4000D chassis provide for this build?

The case measures 490 × 239 × 486 mm and includes two internal 3.5-inch bays plus two 2.5-inch bays for additional storage.

How is the 360 mm liquid cooler mounted, and what clearance step is often missed?

The 360 mm radiator fits the top of the Corsair 4000D; verify the motherboard VRM heatsinks do not block the tubing route before securing the fans.

Which components may need replacement first, and what are the supported limits?

The 850 W Gold PSU and 10 TB HDD are the likeliest long-term swaps; memory can grow to 192 GB DDR5 across four slots, and four M.2 sockets remain for extra NVMe drives.
