Adamant Custom 24-Core Liquid Cooled Workstation

This Adamant Custom desktop pairs a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 32GB graphics card. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD. The system targets professionals who need high compute density for rendering, simulation or AI workloads alongside gaming performance.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO liquid cooler handles the CPU while the case includes two 140mm front PWM fans for airflow. The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 PLUS Gold supply delivers rated power with Japanese main capacitors and protections for over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit. A 140mm PSU fan runs at low noise levels under typical load.

Connectivity Storage Expansion and Software

The Gigabyte Z890 Eagle motherboard provides rear USB4 Type-C, multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports plus four USB 2.0 connections. Internal headers add another USB Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports support RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and four M.2 slots allow further NVMe expansion. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit installs without bloatware.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360 mm liquid cooler in the mid-tower case, and which step is often missed?

Mount the 360 mm radiator to the front using the two 140 mm PWM fans, then connect the pump header to the CPU_FAN socket on the Z890 EAGLE motherboard; the step often missed is setting the pump to full speed in BIOS so coolant flow stays constant.

What maintenance or replacement will the liquid cooling loop need later?

The sealed 360 mm AIO requires no refill; plan to replace the thermal paste on the Core Ultra 9 285K every two to three years and clean dust from the 140 mm radiator fans annually.

Which limit appears first during sustained heavy workloads on this system?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition radiator surface area becomes the bottleneck first; coolant temperature rises until the CPU hits its thermal ceiling and reduces boost clocks below 5.70 GHz.
