Workstation Core and Memory

The Adamant Custom desktop is built around a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor running at 3.7 GHz with a 5.70 GHz maximum turbo frequency. It ships with 192 GB of DDR5 memory installed across four slots, reaching the platform maximum. Liquid cooling handles the CPU thermal load in a Corsair 4000D tower case.

Storage Upgrade Path

The system includes a 1 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD delivering up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes, plus a 10 TB hard drive with 256 MB cache. Builders who need more high-speed capacity can add three additional M.2 drives, while the case provides two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch internal bays for extra mechanical storage.

Build Integration Requirements

A Thermaltake Smart 850W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply with a 140 mm fan powers the platform and includes over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection. Connectivity covers USB4 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2, multiple USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 ports, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Integrated graphics output runs through USB4 and DisplayPort. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Questions about this item

What case clearance does the 360 mm liquid cooler need in the Corsair 4000D?

The 360 mm radiator mounts in the top or front of the 4000D case, which measures 490 mm deep, 239 mm wide and 486 mm high, so a standard 360 mm AIO fits without modification.

Which motherboard power cables must be connected for the Core Ultra 9 285K on the Z890 UD?

Plug the 24-pin ATX cable and the 8-pin EPS CPU cable into the Gigabyte Z890 UD; the 850 W Thermaltake Smart PSU supplies both, and missing the EPS connector is the most common reason the system will not post.

How often should the AIO coolant be checked on this workstation?

The sealed 360 mm Quiet Edition loop is maintenance-free for the life of the cooler; only clean dust from the radiator fins and 140 mm fans every few months to keep temperatures stable.
