24-Core Ultra 9 285K Workstation

This desktop pairs a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 128GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. It is built for rendering, modelling and AI learning workloads that demand high thread counts and GPU acceleration. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 360mm liquid cooler to manage sustained compute loads.

Bundled Storage and Connectivity

A 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive provides the boot and active-project volume, while a 10TB hard drive with 256MB cache adds bulk capacity for archives. The Gigabyte Z890M AORUS motherboard adds Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth5.4, plus rear USB4 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and multiple USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. Front-panel I/O includes USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C, two USB 3.0 ports and audio jacks.

LGA 1851 Platform Constraints

The CPU uses the LGA 1851 socket on the Intel Z890 chipset, limiting future processor upgrades to compatible Core Ultra generations. Memory tops out at 192GB across four DDR5 slots, so the current 128GB configuration leaves room for expansion but cannot exceed that ceiling. The 1000W 80 PLUS Gold power supply defines the maximum graphics power budget for any later GPU swap.

Questions about this item

How often should the liquid coolant in the 360 mm AIO cooler be checked or replaced?

The sealed 360 mm AIO cooler is maintenance-free for its service life; no user coolant changes are required.

Which component hits its thermal or power ceiling first during an all-day rendering workload?

The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K 24-core CPU, rated up to 5.70 GHz, will reach its thermal limit before the RTX 5080 16 GB GPU under sustained compute loads.

What are the typical noise and heat levels when the system runs continuously at full load?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO and 140 mm PWM case fans keep CPU temperatures low with minimal acoustic output; the 1000 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU runs efficiently, limiting waste heat.
