24-Core Intel Core Ultra 9 Workstation

This gaming desktop PC ships with a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor running at 3.7 GHz and 128 GB of DDR5 memory. It is built for rendering, editing, modelling and AI learning workloads that demand high multi-thread performance and large memory capacity.

PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD ceiling

The two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO drives connect through PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots and deliver sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s. That interface bandwidth is the practical limit for the boot and scratch volumes in this system.

Motherboard M.2 and memory headroom

The Gigabyte Z890 EAGLE board provides four M.2 connectors in total, so two remain free for future expansion. Memory slots are fully populated at 128 GB, but the platform supports up to 192 GB if you plan to replace modules later.

Questions about this item

Which storage option should I pick if I want the fastest read speeds?

The system includes two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO drives with sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s, giving 8 TB total NVMe capacity.

What does the 5.70 GHz figure mean for daily workloads?

That is the maximum turbo frequency the 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K can reach on one or two cores, so single-thread tasks such as game logic or compile bursts hit peak speed while all-core loads run lower.

Which motherboard interface limits the SSD throughput in this build?

The Gigabyte Z890 EAGLE provides PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, so each Samsung 990 PRO is capped at the 4.0 x4 bandwidth even though the drives support higher theoretical speeds.
