64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This business desktop centres on a 64-core AMD Threadripper 9980X processor with 128 threads and a 5.4 GHz boost clock. It is built for engineers, researchers and content studios that need sustained multi-threaded throughput for simulation, rendering or large-scale compilation.

Liquid-Cooled TRX50 Platform

A 360 mm liquid cooler handles the CPU thermal load while a 1600 W 80+ Titanium power supply feeds the entire system. The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D motherboard provides 10 GbE networking, USB4 and multiple M.2 slots, freeing expansion lanes for additional storage or accelerators.

256 GB ECC Memory and Dual Storage Tier

256 GB of DDR5 ECC memory supports large in-memory datasets and virtualised environments without paging. A 2 TB NVMe drive delivers 7450 MB/s reads for active projects, while a 10 TB SATA hard drive provides bulk capacity for archives and backups.

Questions about this item

Does the 64-core Threadripper 9980X throttle under sustained all-core load?

The 360 mm liquid cooler and 1600 W 80+ Titanium PSU are sized for the 64-core 3.2 GHz base / 5.4 GHz boost CPU, so thermal throttling should not occur under normal sustained workloads.

How loud is the 140 mm PSU fan and the 360 mm AIO when the system runs 24/7?

The Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 uses an ultra-quiet 140 mm fan and the 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is designed for low noise; together they keep acoustic output minimal during continuous operation.

Which display cables do I need for the RTX 5080 16 GB?

The RTX 5080 provides standard DisplayPort and HDMI outputs; you must supply a monitor with matching DisplayPort or HDMI inputs and the appropriate cable.
