64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This new tower workstation combines a 64-core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X processor, 256GB DDR5 ECC memory, dual 4TB NVMe SSDs and a 10TB hard drive with an Nvidia RTX 4000 Blackwell 24GB GPU. Liquid cooling and a 1200W power supply support sustained heavy workloads. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is installed.

Suits AI training, simulation and multi-VM hosts

The 64 cores and 128 threads excel at parallel rendering, scientific compute and large dataset processing. Buyers who need more than 256GB memory, additional GPU slots or a rackmount chassis should look at other configurations.

sTR5 socket defines upgrade path

The CPU uses the sTR5 socket, so future processor changes are limited to that platform. If your software stack requires a different socket or instruction set, this workstation will not be compatible.

Questions about this item

What case dimensions and drive bays does the Corsair 5000D Frame provide for this workstation?

The case measures 520 x 245 x 520 mm and includes two internal 3.5-inch bays plus four 2.5-inch bays for additional storage.

How is the 360 mm liquid cooler mounted, and what common step is missed?

The AIO radiator fits the front or top of the Corsair 5000D Frame; the step often missed is orienting the pump inlet/outlet lower than the radiator top to prevent air pockets.

When will the 10 TB SATA hard drive likely need replacement?

Plan to replace the 10 TB SATA drive after five years or when SMART attributes show rising reallocated-sector counts.
