64-Core Threadripper Workstation

This liquid-cooled tower pairs a 64-core AMD Threadripper 9980X processor with 512GB of DDR5 ECC memory and an Nvidia RTX 5090 32GB GPU. It targets professionals who need maximum multi-threaded compute and large GPU memory for simulation, rendering or AI workloads. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit pre-installed.

PCIe 4.0 Storage and 10GbE Limits

Two Samsung 990 PRO 4TB drives deliver up to 7450 MB/sec read and 6900 MB/sec write over PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes. The 10TB hard drive uses a SATA 6Gb/s interface with 256MB cache. Network connectivity tops out at 10 Gbps through the Marvell AQC113C controller, with 5, 2.5 and 1 Gbps fallback speeds.

Corsair 5000D Frame with Seasonic 1600W Titanium

The tempered-glass chassis measures 520 x 245 x 520 mm and includes front and rear 120mm fans alongside a 360mm AIO radiator. A Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 80+ Titanium unit with a 140mm fan provides 1600W of protected power. Rear I/O offers two USB4 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports; front panel adds one USB 3.1 Type-C, two USB 3.0 and audio jacks driven by ALC4080 and ALC897 codecs.

Questions about this item

How do I choose between the two 4TB NVMe SSDs and the 10TB hard drive for my primary workload?

The paired Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write for active projects, while the 10TB SATA drive with 256MB cache suits bulk archives and backups.

What does the 5.4 GHz boost clock mean for single-threaded tasks on the 64-core Threadripper 9980X?

The processor can raise one or a few cores to 5.4 GHz for bursty single-thread work, while the remaining cores sustain 3.2 GHz across all 64 cores and 128 threads.

How does the PCIe 4.0 x4 link cap the Samsung 990 PRO SSDs in this system?

Each M.2 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x4, limiting sequential throughput to the drive's rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write.
