Liquid-cooled Threadripper workstation

The Adamant Custom Business Desktop pairs a 24-core Threadripper 9960X at 4.2 GHz with 128 GB DDR5 ECC memory, a 4 TB NVMe SSD, a 10 TB HDD and an RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell 48 GB GPU. A 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and 360 mm AIO keep the tower running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit.

Suited for heavy compute, not light office

Professionals rendering complex scenes, training large models or processing massive datasets will use the 24 cores, 48 threads and 48 GB VRAM daily. Buyers who only need email, web browsing or standard document work should look at a lower-specification system.

48 GB VRAM on the RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell

The graphics card provides 48 GB of video memory, the single figure that determines whether the workstation can hold your largest models, textures or frame buffers without swapping to system RAM. If your workload fits in less VRAM, a smaller GPU will cost less.

Questions about this item

Which capacity tier should I choose between the 4TB NVMe and the 10TB hard drive?

The 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe delivers up to 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write for active projects, while the 10TB SATA drive adds 256 MB cache bulk storage at 6 Gb/s.

What does the 4.2 GHz base clock mean once the Threadripper 9960X is under load?

The 24-core processor can boost up to 5.3 GHz with 128 MB L3 cache, so sustained multi-threaded workloads run well above the 4.2 GHz base frequency.

How does the PCIe 4.0 x4 link shape real-world speed for the 4TB NVMe SSD?

The Samsung 990 PRO is rated for up to 7450 MB/s sequential read and 6900 MB/s write on that interface.
