Workstation for compute-heavy workflows

The system pairs a 32-core Threadripper 9970X running at 4.0 GHz with 256 GB of DDR5 ECC memory. A 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold supply and 360 mm liquid cooler keep the platform stable under sustained multi-threaded load. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit ships pre-installed.

Dual NVMe plus high-capacity HDD

Two Samsung 990 PRO 4 TB drives deliver sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s over PCIe 4.0 x4. The 10 TB SATA drive adds 256 MB cache for bulk archives. Builders who need more than two M.2 slots or a second GPU must look elsewhere.

TRX50 connectivity and power envelope

The Gigabyte TRX50 AERO D board exposes rear USB4 Type-C, ten USB 3.2 ports and eight SATA 6 Gb/s headers. A Marvell AQC113C controller provides 10 GbE LAN. The 1200 W unit protects against over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit but does not leave headroom for multi-GPU configurations.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm AIO liquid cooler need coolant replacement or pump service over time?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO is a sealed loop; no coolant top-ups or pump servicing are required. Dust the radiator fins and 120 mm fans periodically to keep airflow clear.

What thermal limit appears first when the 32-core Threadripper 9970X runs at 5.4 GHz boost under sustained load?

The CPU will hit its factory thermal ceiling and throttle before the 360 mm AIO saturates, so core temperature is the first limiter during prolonged all-core workloads.

How loud is the system when the 1200 W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and 140 mm fan run all day alongside the AIO pump?

The PSU uses an ultra-quiet 140 mm fan and the AIO is a Quiet Edition model; together they produce low background noise suitable for an office environment.
