System overview

This Adamant Custom desktop is a liquid-cooled workstation built around a 14-core Intel Core Ultra 5 245K processor running at 4.2 GHz. It ships with 64 GB of DDR5 memory and a 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, making it ready for professional workloads and AI-ready tasks straight out of the box.

Thermals and power

A 240 mm quiet-edition AIO cooler handles the CPU while three 120 mm front fans and a 140 mm PSU fan move air through the Antec P20 mid-tower case. Dust filters on the bottom, front and top keep the interior clean. The Thermaltake Smart 750 W 80 PLUS Bronze unit supplies power with Japanese main capacitors and protections for over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit events.

Connectivity and expansion

The TUF Gaming Z890-PLUS motherboard adds rear Thunderbolt 4, one USB 20 Gbps Type-C, three USB 10 Gbps and three USB 5 Gbps ports plus 2.5 Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Internal headers include a front-panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.0 and audio. Four M.2 slots and four SATA 6 Gb/s ports remain open for extra storage, while four memory slots support up to 192 GB total.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 240 mm liquid cooler on the LGA 1851 socket, and what step is often missed?

Mount the backplate, apply thermal paste, secure the cold plate with the four spring screws in a cross pattern, then connect the pump header and both fan headers to the motherboard — the step most often missed is plugging in the second fan header so both radiator fans run at the same speed.

Which components will need replacement first during the life of this PC?

The 240 mm AIO pump and the two 120 mm radiator fans are the only moving parts besides the PSU fan; plan to swap the AIO unit after roughly five years and the case fans if bearing noise appears.

What thermal or power limit appears first when the 14-core Core Ultra 5 245K runs at 5.20 GHz under sustained load?

The 240 mm Quiet Edition cooler and 750 W Bronze PSU keep the CPU within its 245 W turbo envelope, so the first limit reached is the cooler’s heat‑soak threshold, which triggers frequency scaling before any power‑delivery constraint.
