Ryzen 7 9800X3D Workstation Gaming PC

This new desktop combines an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with 128GB DDR5 memory and a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card. A 240mm liquid cooler manages thermals inside a Corsair 4000D chassis. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Built for heavy multitasking and 1440p gaming

The 128GB RAM and 8-core CPU suit content creation, virtualisation and high-refresh-rate play. Buyers who need more GPU memory for 4K ray-traced titles or professional render farms should look at something else.

2TB NVMe plus 10TB HDD storage

The Samsung 990 PRO delivers up to 7450 MB/s reads for OS and active projects. The 10TB mechanical drive adds bulk capacity for archives. The board supports up to 192GB total memory if headroom is required later.

Questions about this item

Does the PRIME X870-P motherboard need DDR5 memory to run the Ryzen 7 9800X3D?

Yes, the AM5 platform only supports DDR5; the system ships with 128 GB installed and the board has four slots for up to 192 GB total.

Will the 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU and PCI Express x16 slot support an older graphics card if I swap out the RTX 5060 Ti?

The 850 W unit provides ample headroom for previous-generation GPUs, and the full-length x16 slot is electrically compatible with any PCIe card.

How can I confirm the Samsung 990 PRO is delivering its rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write speeds after setup?

Run a benchmark such as CrystalDiskMark on the NVMe drive; sequential results should approach the quoted 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write figures.
