Built for gaming and media work

This desktop pairs an eight-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 4TB NVMe drive. The RTX 5070 graphics card adds 12GB of video memory for modern titles and creative applications. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the Samsung 990 PRO SSD.

Sustained load behaviour

A 240mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU near its 5.20 GHz boost clock during long sessions. The 96 MB L3 cache reduces stutter in memory-heavy workloads. The Thermaltake 850W Bronze PSU delivers stable power with Japanese capacitors and a 140mm fan that stays quiet under load.

Installation notes

The CoolerMaster HAF 500 case uses tempered glass panels and includes front 200mm ARGB fans plus a rear 120mm fan. Motherboard I/O offers USB4 at 40Gbps, multiple 10Gbps and 5Gbps ports, plus Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5Gb Ethernet. Builders needing more than four M.2 slots or a second graphics card will find no room for expansion.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the 240 mm liquid cooler and 850 W PSU run when the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5070 are under sustained load?

The CPU uses a 240 mm quiet-edition AIO cooler and the case includes two 200 mm front ARGB fans, one 120 mm rear ARGB fan and a 120 mm GPU fan; the Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU has a 140 mm ultra-quiet fan for low noise.

What display cable and monitor port do I need to connect the RTX 5070 12 GB graphics card?

The RTX 5070 installs in a PCI Express x16 slot and provides standard DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, so a DisplayPort or HDMI cable and a monitor with a matching input are required.

Will my existing SATA SSDs or hard drives work inside the CoolerMaster HAF 500 case and on the TUF X870-PLUS motherboard?

The case has two internal 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch bays, and the motherboard supplies two SATA 6 Gb/s ports for additional drives.
