Adamant Custom Ryzen 7 9800X3D Gaming Desktop

This new tower system pairs an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card for high-end gaming and creative workloads. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 32GB of DDR5 memory, dual 4TB NVMe SSDs in RAID and a 10TB hard drive for bulk storage. The motherboard provides USB4, 2.5Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.

240mm Liquid Cooling and 1200W Gold Power Supply

A 240mm quiet-edition AIO cooler handles the CPU while three 120mm front fans and a 140mm PSU fan move air through the Antec P20 tempered-glass case. Dust filters on the bottom, front and top help keep internals clean. The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit delivers stable power with Japanese capacitors and full protection circuits.

Sustained Load Behaviour on AM5 Platform

Under prolonged gaming or rendering sessions the liquid loop maintains lower CPU temperatures than air coolers, allowing the Ryzen 7 9800X3D to hold higher boost clocks for longer periods. The 1200W Gold supply provides headroom for the RTX 5090 and both NVMe drives without throttling. Builders who need more than four memory slots or additional PCIe expansion should consider a different platform.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 240 mm AIO cooler on the AM5 socket and what step is often missed?

The cooler uses the standard AM5 mounting bracket; the step people skip is removing the protective film from the cold-plate before seating it on the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

Which components will need replacement first and when?

The 240 mm AIO pump typically runs three to five years before flow drops; the 120 mm case fans and 140 mm PSU fan are the only other moving parts.

What thermal limit appears first during extended 4.7 GHz all-core loads?

The 240 mm radiator surface area saturates first, so coolant temperature rises until the CPU hits its 5.20 GHz boost ceiling and throttles.
