24-core desktop for AI-ready workloads

This system pairs a 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card. A 1TB NVMe SSD handles the operating system and active projects while a 10TB hard drive provides bulk storage. Windows 11 Pro ships pre-installed on the tower chassis.

Liquid CPU cooler and quiet case fans

A 360mm quiet-edition liquid cooler manages the processor heat load. The Ceres 300 case includes two front 140mm fans and one rear 140mm fan, each rated at 1500rpm and 30dBA. An 850W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply with a Japanese main capacitor delivers power with over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection.

Front USB-C plus rear Thunderbolt 4

The front panel offers one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports and a headphone jack. Rear I/O adds a Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port, one USB 20Gbps Type-C, three USB 10Gbps and three USB 5Gbps ports. Internal headers include a USB 20Gbps Type-C, one USB 5Gbps and two USB 2.0 connections. Four SATA 6Gb/s and four M.2 slots remain available for expansion. Network connectivity uses Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Questions about this item

How is the 360mm AIO liquid cooler installed on the LGA 1851 socket, and what step do builders often skip?

Mount the Intel retention bracket first, then secure the cold plate with the four spring screws in a diagonal pattern; the step most people miss is removing the protective plastic film from the cold-plate base before applying thermal paste.

Which component inside this PC will need replacement first under heavy use, and when?

The 850W Bronze PSU is the likeliest candidate; its electrolytic capacitors typically reach end-of-life after 5–7 years of sustained high load, so plan a swap around that window.

What thermal limit appears first when the Core Ultra 9 285K runs at 5.70 GHz on the 360mm AIO during long renders?

The coolant temperature hits the pump’s 45 °C safety threshold, causing fan curves to ramp to 1500 rpm before the CPU itself throttles.
