24-core i9-14900K workstation

The Adamant Custom desktop pairs a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900K processor with an Nvidia RTX PRO 4000 Blackwell graphics card carrying 24GB of video memory. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR5 system memory and a 2TB NVMe boot drive support professional modelling and simulation workloads. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 360mm liquid cooler for sustained compute performance.

PCIe 4.0 storage and Z790 platform limits

The motherboard provides four M.2 connectors and six SATA 6Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support, but all M.2 slots share the chipset PCIe 4.0 lanes. Rear I/O includes one USB Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and three USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports alongside four USB 2.0 ports. Network connectivity is limited to Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6 wireless.

32GB DDR5 with 192GB ceiling and 12TB total storage

The installed 32GB DDR5 kit occupies two of four slots, leaving headroom to reach the 192GB maximum supported by the platform. A 10TB hard drive with 256MB cache supplements the 2TB NVMe SSD for large project libraries. The 850W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply caps further GPU upgrades or high-wattage add-in cards.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2 TB NVMe or the 10 TB hard drive for my active projects?

Use the 2 TB NVMe for the operating system and current workloads — its sequential reads reach 7 450 MB/s and writes 6 900 MB/s. Keep the 10 TB hard drive for archives and bulk storage.

What does the 24-core i9-14900K actually deliver inside this chassis?

The liquid-cooled 24-core CPU sustains up to 6.00 GHz boost across 32 threads, with 36 MB L3 cache, so heavy CAD, CAM and CAE sessions stay responsive without thermal throttling.

How fast is the Wi-Fi 6 link and the 2.5 Gb Ethernet port in practice?

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and the Intel 2.5 Gb Ethernet controller both connect at their rated speeds; real-world throughput will depend on your router, switch and cabling.
