Target system

This Adamant Custom desktop pairs a six-core Ryzen 5 9600X with an RTX 5070 graphics card, 64GB DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe boot drive plus a 10TB hard drive. Liquid cooling keeps the CPU quiet during long renders or gaming sessions. The build suits creators and professionals who need fast storage and strong single-thread speed in a single chassis.

Upgrade path

Moving from a four-core processor or an older mid-range GPU to this configuration adds two extra cores, higher boost clocks and 12GB of video memory. The jump pays off when timelines grow beyond 4K proxy workflows or when ray-traced titles demand more shader throughput. Buyers who need more than 64GB RAM or a second graphics card should look at larger workstation platforms.

Sustained behaviour

A 240mm liquid cooler and a 750W Bronze-rated supply let the Ryzen 5 9600X hold its 5.40GHz boost across extended compiles or batch exports without thermal throttling. The Samsung 990 PRO maintains its 7450 MB/s read rate during large project loads, while the 10TB drive feeds assets steadily over SATA. Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5Gb Ethernet keep network transfers from becoming the bottleneck.

Questions about this item

What case dimensions and drive bays does the Corsair 4000D provide for this build?

The case measures 490 x 239 x 486 mm and includes two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch internal bays for the 10 TB hard drive and the 2 TB NVMe SSD.

How is the 240 mm liquid cooler mounted on the AM5 motherboard, and what step is often missed?

The AIO uses the standard AM5 retention bracket; the step many builders skip is removing the protective film from the cold-plate before securing the pump block.

Which components will need replacement first in this system?

The 140 mm PSU fan and the 240 mm radiator fans are the only moving parts rated for continuous duty; plan to swap them after several years of heavy use.
