Custom Workstation Core

This desktop pairs an eight-core Ryzen 7 9700X processor with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card. It targets professionals who need strong multi-threaded compute and high-resolution rendering in a single chassis. Buyers who want more storage bays than the four internal mounts provided should look elsewhere.

PCIe 4.0 Storage Ceiling

The two Samsung 990 PRO SSDs run over a PCIe 4.0 x4 link, capping sequential reads near 7450 MB/s and writes near 6900 MB/s. The motherboard adds four M.2 connectors, yet only two are populated, leaving the others for future expansion. Users who require PCIe 5.0 SSD speeds will not find them on this platform.

Liquid-Cooled Mid-Tower Build

A 240mm AIO cooler handles the CPU while three 120mm front fans and a 140mm PSU fan move air through the tempered-glass Antec P20 case. The 850W Bronze unit supplies power with Japanese capacitors and full protection circuits. Front-panel I/O includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and two USB 3.0 ports; builders needing additional 5.25-inch external bays have none available.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 8 TB NVMe or add more hard-drive space for games?

The system already includes 8 TB of NVMe storage split across two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO drives plus a 10 TB hard drive, so large game libraries fit without extra drives.

What does the Ryzen 7 9700X 3.8 GHz base clock mean for actual gaming performance?

The 8-core processor boosts up to 5.50 GHz with 32 MB L3 cache, delivering high frame rates in modern titles when paired with the Radeon RX 9070 XT.

Will the PCI Express x16 slot and motherboard USB4 ports run at full speed with this GPU and peripherals?

The Radeon RX 9070 XT uses the full PCIe x16 link, while the PRIME X870-P board provides two 40 Gbps USB4 Type-C ports and a 2.5 GbE Intel LAN connection.
