Purpose-built workstation

The Adamant Custom tower arrives with an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, 128GB DDR5 memory and a 1TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on a PRIME X870-P motherboard inside a Corsair 4000D chassis. A 240mm liquid cooler handles the CPU while an 850W 80 PLUS Bronze supply powers the build.

Build integration

Four DDR5 slots are populated, leaving no free memory sockets but the board supports up to 192GB total. Two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch internal bays remain open for extra storage. Rear I/O includes 2x USB4 at 40Gbps, 1x USB 10Gbps, 3x USB 5Gbps and 4x USB 2.0 ports plus HDMI from the integrated Radeon graphics. Mid-board headers add a USB 10Gbps Type-C connector, a USB 5Gbps header, two USB 2.0 headers, two SATA 6Gb/s ports and four M.2 slots.

Upgrade context

The integrated Radeon output suits compute workloads and multi-monitor productivity but cannot drive modern 3D titles at high settings. Buyers who need discrete GPU performance will have to add a graphics card and verify power-headroom. The 128GB DDR5 kit fills every slot, so any future memory increase requires replacing modules rather than adding them.

Questions about this item

Does the 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU limit sustained loads on the 8-core CPU?

The Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze unit powers the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and all components; its 140 mm fan runs quietly while delivering the rated wattage.

How loud and hot does the 240 mm liquid cooler get during all-day sessions?

The 240 mm Quiet Edition AIO uses a low-noise pump and fans to keep the 8-core processor at safe temperatures with minimal acoustic output.

What display cables or adapters must I already own to use the integrated Radeon graphics?

The motherboard provides one HDMI port and two USB4 (40 Gbps) Type-C ports; monitors need HDMI or USB-C/DisplayPort Alt Mode inputs.
