Ryzen 7 9800X3D gaming desktop

This new desktop pairs an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with a 240mm liquid cooler and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. It ships with 128GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD in a Corsair 4000D tempered-glass case running Windows 11 Pro.

Suited for high-refresh gaming

Builders who need ECC memory, multi-GPU support or more than four M.2 slots should look elsewhere. The board provides four memory slots populated to 128GB with a 192GB ceiling, so further expansion requires module replacement.

128GB DDR5 memory configuration

The system arrives with all four DIMM slots filled, delivering 128GB of DDR5 capacity. Adding more memory later means swapping modules rather than populating empty slots.

Questions about this item

Will the 240 mm liquid cooler fit in the Corsair 4000D case?

The Corsair 4000D supports a 240 mm radiator in the top and front positions, so the included cooler mounts without modification.

What is the first step when installing the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D into the AM5 socket?

Lift the retention arm, align the triangle on the processor with the socket marker, place the CPU gently, then lower and lock the arm.

When will the 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD likely need replacement?

The drive is rated for high endurance; under typical workloads it should last several years before wear requires a swap.
