Workstation for CAD and AI

This desktop is built for professional CAD modelling and AI learning workloads. It pairs an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with 192GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell GPU with 16GB of VRAM. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit and is liquid cooled for sustained performance.

PCIe 4.0 storage and 2.5G networking

The 1TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive operates over a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface with read speeds up to 7450 MB/s and write speeds up to 6900 MB/s. A 10TB HDD with 256MB cache provides bulk capacity over SATA 6Gb/s. Wired connectivity uses an Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet port while wireless uses Wi-Fi 7 2x2.

Check case clearance and PSU cables

The Pop Air RGB case measures 474 x 215 x 454 mm and holds a 240mm AIO radiator plus two 120mm front fans and one 120mm rear fan. Internal bays include two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch slots. The 850W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU uses Japanese main capacitors and a 140mm fan. Verify that your workspace fits the case dimensions and that the PSU cable lengths reach your components.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1TB NVMe or the 10TB HDD as my primary drive?

The 1TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe delivers up to 7450 MB/s reads and 6900 MB/s writes for OS and active projects, while the 10TB HDD with 256MB cache provides bulk capacity for archives and less-frequently accessed data.

What does the 5.20 GHz boost clock on the Ryzen 7 9800X3D mean for daily workloads?

The 8-core CPU can reach 5.20 GHz on lightly threaded tasks such as CAD model regeneration or AI inference setup, while its 96 MB L3 cache keeps large assemblies and datasets fed without stalling.

How does the PCI Express x16 link affect the RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell in practice?

The GPU connects through a full PCI Express x16 slot on the X870 motherboard, giving the 16GB Blackwell card its full bandwidth for viewport rendering, simulation and display output.
