System Overview

This Adamant Custom desktop pairs an 8-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB NVMe solid-state drive. The GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card provides 12GB of video memory. Liquid cooling and a 850W power supply support sustained workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Platform Limits

The PRIME X870-P motherboard provides four memory slots with a 192GB maximum capacity, leaving room for future expansion beyond the installed 64GB. Four M.2 connectors allow additional NVMe drives without occupying the two 3.5-inch or two 2.5-inch drive bays. Rear I/O includes two USB4 ports at 40Gbps, one USB 10Gbps port, three USB 5Gbps ports and four USB 2.0 ports. Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 handle network connectivity.

Deciding Factor

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D delivers 96MB of L3 cache and boost clocks up to 5.20GHz, a combination that benefits cache-sensitive applications and gaming workloads. Buyers who need more than 12GB of video memory or who require multiple graphics cards should consider a different configuration. The 240mm liquid cooler is sized for this processor's thermal profile.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 64 GB DDR5 configuration or add more memory later?

The board has four DDR5 slots and supports up to 192 GB, so the 64 GB kit leaves room for expansion without replacing modules.

What does the Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz boost clock deliver in actual workloads?

Eight cores and 16 threads with 96 MB L3 cache reach 5.20 GHz boost, giving strong single-thread speed and high multi-core throughput for gaming and content creation.

How fast is the Samsung 990 PRO 1 TB drive on the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface?

Sequential reads hit 7450 MB/s and writes 6900 MB/s, so large game loads and project files transfer at near-peak PCIe 4.0 speeds.
