Eight-core liquid-cooled desktop

This desktop pairs an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with a 240 mm liquid cooler and 32 GB of DDR5 memory. The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card adds 16 GB of video memory for high-refresh gaming and creative workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on an 8 TB NVMe array.

PCI Express x16 graphics interface

The GPU connects through a PCI Express x16 slot on the PRIME X870-P motherboard, which also provides two USB4 ports at 40 Gbps and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Storage uses two M.2 sockets wired for PCIe 4.0 x4, limiting sequential transfers to the drive-rated 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write. The 850 W Bronze power supply caps total system draw.

8 TB NVMe capacity and 192 GB memory ceiling

Two 4 TB Samsung 990 PRO drives deliver 8 TB of fast storage for large game libraries and media projects. Four DDR5 slots support up to 192 GB of system memory when future workloads demand more than the installed 32 GB. The mid-tower case holds only two 3.5-inch bays, so additional bulk storage requires external solutions.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 32 GB DDR5 configuration or upgrade to the 192 GB maximum supported by the motherboard?

The 32 GB DDR5 kit fills two of the four slots and is sufficient for current gaming; upgrading toward 192 GB is only necessary for heavy content-creation workloads that exceed 32 GB.

What does the Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz base clock with up to 5.20 GHz boost mean for actual gaming frame rates?

The 8-core 16-thread CPU with 96 MB L3 cache delivers high single-thread performance that keeps the RTX 5070 Ti fed, so frame rates stay high in CPU-bound titles at 1440p and 4K.

How fast are the two Samsung 990 PRO 4 TB drives on the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface in real use?

Each drive reaches sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s, so game loads and large file transfers complete in seconds rather than minutes.
