Configuration Summary

This Adamant Custom desktop combines an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with 128 GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. A 1 TB NVMe solid-state drive and a 10 TB mechanical hard disk provide both speed and capacity. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and liquid cooling in a Corsair 4000D chassis.

Suitability Profile

The 128 GB memory and 16 GB GPU frame buffer suit modelling, editing, rendering and AI learning workloads that need large datasets in memory. Buyers who need more than 192 GB of RAM or multiple graphics cards should look at a different platform. The single 10 TB drive may not meet redundancy requirements for critical archives.

Deciding Specification

The eight-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU with 96 MB of L3 cache and a 5.20 GHz maximum boost clock determines single-thread and multi-thread throughput for the workloads listed above.

Questions about this item

What case dimensions and internal drive bays does the Corsair 4000D chassis provide for this build?

The case measures 490 mm deep, 239 mm wide and 486 mm high and includes two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch internal bays.

How is the 240 mm liquid cooler mounted, and what step is often missed?

The cooler attaches to the AM5 socket on the PRIME X870-P motherboard; the step many miss is connecting the pump header and the 140 mm fan header so the AIO runs at the correct speed.

Which storage drives may need replacement first and what are their capacities?

The 1 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD and the 10 TB hard drive with 256 MB cache are the two drives that will eventually wear out and need swapping.
