Liquid-cooled Ryzen 7 workstation

This desktop pairs an 8-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with an RTX 5080 graphics card and 128GB of DDR5 memory. A 240mm liquid cooler handles the CPU while a 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply feeds the system. It arrives with Windows 11 Pro installed on a 1TB NVMe SSD.

Sustained compute and render loads

The liquid cooler and high-wattage power supply keep the CPU and GPU stable during long encoding, compilation or simulation sessions. 128GB of DDR5 across four slots feeds large datasets without swapping. The Samsung 990 PRO SSD delivers sequential reads up to 7450 MB/sec and writes up to 6900 MB/sec for fast scratch access.

Motherboard layout and expansion headroom

The PRIME X870-P board provides four M.2 connectors and two SATA ports for additional drives. Rear I/O includes two USB4 ports at 40Gbps, one USB 10Gbps port and three USB 5Gbps ports. The case offers two internal 3.5-inch bays and two 2.5-inch bays. Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5Gb Ethernet are integrated.
