Core Configuration

This gaming desktop pairs an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor with 128GB of DDR5 memory and a 240mm liquid cooler. Integrated Radeon graphics handle video output through HDMI and two USB4 ports. The system targets builders who want high core counts and large memory capacity without a discrete graphics card.

Storage Decider

A 1TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive delivers sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s alongside a 10TB hard drive with 256MB cache. Buyers who need more than 11TB of combined fast and bulk storage, or who require a second NVMe boot drive, should look elsewhere.

Sustained Operation

The 850W 80 PLUS Bronze power supply and 240mm quiet-edition AIO keep the CPU near its 5.20 GHz boost clock during extended workloads. Front 140mm PWM fans move air through the tempered-glass tower while the PSU’s 140mm fan maintains low noise under continuous load.

Questions about this item

How does the 96 MB L3 cache on the Ryzen 7 9800X3D behave inside a real machine?

The large L3 cache keeps game data and hot instructions close to the eight cores, reducing memory latency so frame rates stay high even at 1080p with the integrated Radeon graphics.

What does the USB4 40 Gbps interface actually cap in daily use?

The two rear USB4 ports deliver up to 40 Gbps for external NVMe enclosures or display adapters, while the motherboard also provides USB 20 Gbps and USB 10 Gbps headers for front-panel devices.

What clearance does the 240 mm liquid cooler need inside the case?

The 240 mm AIO mounts in the Design North tempered-glass tower, which measures 447 mm deep, 215 mm wide and 469 mm high, with front 140 mm PWM fans already installed.
