Liquid-cooled Ryzen 9 workstation

This desktop pairs a 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X3D with an RTX 5080 GPU and 32GB DDR5 memory. A 240mm liquid cooler handles the CPU while a 1000W 80 PLUS Gold PSU supplies stable power. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 1TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive for fast storage.

Thermals noise and power

The 240mm AIO Quiet Edition cooler keeps the 12-core processor at operating temperature without excessive fan speed. A 140mm PSU fan runs quietly under load thanks to the Gold-rated unit's efficiency. Together they deliver consistent performance for workstation tasks and gaming sessions while maintaining low acoustic output.

Build integration and expansion

The Corsair 4000D case provides two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch internal bays for additional drives. The PRIME X870-P motherboard offers four M.2 slots, two SATA ports and multiple USB headers including USB4 at 40Gbps. Four DDR5 slots support up to 192GB total memory for future upgrades.

Questions about this item

How is the 240mm liquid CPU cooler installed, and which step do people often miss?

The 240mm AIO cooler mounts to the AM5 socket on the PRIME X870-P motherboard; the step often missed is connecting the pump header and the 140mm radiator fans to the correct fan headers so the cooler runs at the proper speed.

What maintenance or replacement will the liquid cooling system need later?

The sealed 240mm AIO is maintenance-free for its lifespan; if the pump ever fails or coolant degrades after several years, the entire cooler unit would be replaced rather than refilled.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy loads on this system?

The 1000W 80 PLUS Gold PSU and the 240mm radiator set the thermal and power ceiling; under prolonged full CPU and GPU load the coolant temperature will stabilise at the radiator's dissipation limit before the PSU hits its protection thresholds.
