Custom liquid-cooled workstation

This desktop pairs a twelve-core Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor with an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a one-terabyte NVMe drive handle active projects, while a ten-terabyte hard drive stores large archives. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro installed.

240 mm liquid cooler and 850 W bronze supply

A 240 mm quiet-edition liquid cooler manages the CPU thermal load. The chassis uses two 140 mm front fans for case airflow. An 850 watt 80 PLUS Bronze power supply delivers stable power with over-voltage, under-voltage, over-power and short-circuit protection. Realtek 7.1 surround audio is integrated.

Upgrades from air-cooled mid-tower builds

Builders moving from air-cooled mid-range desktops gain liquid CPU cooling, faster NVMe storage and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The motherboard provides four memory slots supporting up to 192 gigabytes for future expansion. Buyers who need more than sixteen gigabytes of video memory or a second graphics card should consider a different platform.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 240 mm liquid CPU cooler and what step do people often miss?

Mount the radiator with fans oriented as intake at the front of the case, then connect the pump header to the CPU_FAN connector on the X870-PLUS TUF motherboard so the BIOS can control pump speed.

Which component will need replacement first and how much capacity can I add?

The 1 TB Samsung 990 PRO SSD can be supplemented by three additional M.2 slots on the motherboard, supporting up to 192 GB total system memory across four DDR5 slots.

What thermal or power limit appears first during extended gaming sessions?

The Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU sets the sustained power ceiling, while the 240 mm AIO and dual 140 mm front fans manage CPU and GPU heat under load.
