Workstation identity — 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X

This Adamant Custom tower pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X running at 4.3 GHz with an Nvidia RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell graphics card. It ships with 128GB DDR5 memory, a 1TB NVMe SSD and a 10TB hard drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and the system is liquid-cooled in a black mid-tower case.

Ideal user and mismatch — CAD CAM CAE modelling

The 16 cores and 32 threads suit engineers running SolidWorks simulations or developers training local models. Buyers who need more than 128GB memory should look elsewhere because the board caps at 192GB total. The single GPU configuration also limits users who require multi-GPU scaling for large render farms.

Deciding specification — 48GB GPU memory

The RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell provides 48GB video memory, which determines whether full-data-set simulation and high-resolution rendering stay in video memory. This capacity is the primary factor when choosing this workstation over alternatives with less VRAM.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD use, and what read speed does that cap at?

The 1 TB Samsung 990 PRO runs on a PCIe 4.0 x4 link, which tops out at 7450 MB/s sequential read.

What case and motherboard dimensions must the build fit into?

The Antec P20 mid-tower measures 469 mm deep by 220 mm wide by 490 mm high and accepts an E-ATX board; the PRIME X870-P is a standard ATX motherboard.

How is the CPU cooler mounted, and what step is often missed?

The 360 mm AIO radiator screws to the case roof or front with its three 120 mm fans; the step people forget is peeling the protective film off the cold-plate before seating it on the Ryzen 9 9950X.
