16-Core Ryzen 9950X desktop

This system pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor with 96 GB of DDR5 memory and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed on a 2 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive. The configuration targets creators and gamers who need high single-thread speed and multi-thread throughput in one chassis. Liquid cooling keeps the CPU stable under sustained loads.

X870 motherboard and 850 W PSU

The PRIME X870-P ATX board supplies two USB4 ports, one USB 10 Gbps port, three USB 5 Gbps ports and four USB 2.0 ports at the rear, plus internal headers for additional front-panel connections. Four M.2 slots and two SATA ports allow further storage expansion inside the Corsair 4000D case. A Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze unit with a 140 mm fan delivers power to all components.

96 GB DDR5 and 2 TB NVMe headroom

The 96 GB kit occupies two of four slots, leaving room to reach the 192 GB platform maximum. The Samsung 990 PRO provides sequential reads up to 7450 MB/s and writes up to 6900 MB/s for large project files. The RTX 5070 carries 12 GB of video memory for 1440p gaming and GPU-accelerated workflows. Builds requiring more than 12 GB VRAM or additional 3.5-inch drives will need a different configuration.

Questions about this item

What limits the Ryzen 9 9950X during sustained heavy workloads?

The 16-core CPU reaches up to 5.70 GHz boost, and the 360 mm liquid cooler is designed to manage the heat so thermal throttling is the first limit you would hit.

How loud and hot does the system get when running all day?

The 360 mm Quiet Edition AIO and the PSU's 140 mm ultra-quiet fan keep noise low, while liquid cooling moves heat away from the CPU efficiently during extended sessions.

Does the motherboard include Wi-Fi 7 so I don't need a separate wireless card?

Yes, the PRIME X870-P board integrates Wi-Fi 7 2x2 (802.11be) and Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet, providing high-speed wireless and wired networking out of the box.
