Target Build

This mid-tower desktop pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. The system ships with 128GB of DDR5 memory, a 4TB NVMe solid-state drive and a 10TB mechanical hard drive. It is aimed at creators and gamers who need strong multi-threaded performance and large local storage in a single Windows 11 Pro machine.

Upgrade Path

The configuration replaces an older workstation or a self-built rig that has hit memory or storage limits. The jump is worth it when your current platform cannot accept more than 128GB of DDR5 or lacks a PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive capable of 7450 MB/s reads. Builders staying on an earlier socket or a board without USB4 connectivity will see the biggest change.

Compatibility Check

Verify that your peripherals and external drives can use the rear USB4 Type-C ports, the 10Gbps USB ports and the 2.5Gb Ethernet jack. Confirm your monitor connects via the GPU outputs and that your case space can accommodate a 360mm liquid cooler radiator. The motherboard offers four M.2 slots and two SATA ports for any future drive additions.

Questions about this item

Will a 360 mm radiator fit in the Antec P20 mid-tower case?

The chassis measures 469 x 220 x 490 mm and the supplied AIO is a 360 mm unit, so it is designed to fit the case.

How is the liquid cooler mounted, and what step is often missed?

The 360 mm AIO attaches to the AM5 socket on the TUF X870-PLUS motherboard; the step people forget is removing the protective film from the cold-plate before securing the pump block.

When will the 128 GB DDR5 memory need to be upgraded?

The board has four slots and supports up to 192 GB, so you only need to add modules if workloads exceed the installed 128 GB capacity.
