Built for professional CAD and simulation

This desktop workstation is built around a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor and an Nvidia RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell GPU with 48GB of video memory. It targets engineers and designers who run SolidWorks, CAM or CAE workloads that demand high core counts and large GPU frame buffers. The system ships with 192GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe boot drive plus a 10TB hard drive for project storage.

Liquid cooling keeps the CPU quiet at idle

A 360mm quiet-edition AIO cooler handles the Ryzen 9 9950X while a 140mm fan in the 1200W 80 PLUS Gold power supply runs at low speed during light use. The Corsair 4000D case provides direct airflow to the radiator, so typical office or modelling tasks stay audible only as a faint hum. Windows 11 Pro and integrated Realtek 7.1 audio complete the baseline experience.

Sustained loads stay within thermal limits

Under continuous multi-threaded rendering or simulation the liquid loop absorbs prolonged heat output from the 16-core CPU without throttling, while the RTX PRO 5000 maintains stable clocks for hours-long compute jobs. The motherboard’s VRM heatsinks and the case’s internal 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch bays remain unaffected by the extended duty cycle. Connectivity includes Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7 2x2 for reliable data transfer during long runs.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 360mm liquid cooler on the AM5 socket, and which step do builders often skip?

Mount the AM5 backplate first, apply thermal paste, secure the cold-plate with the supplied brackets, then connect the pump header and three 140mm fan headers to the TUF X870-PLUS; the step most often missed is plugging the pump into the dedicated CPU_OPT or AIO_PUMP header instead of a standard fan header.

What maintenance or replacement will the 360mm AIO and 1200W PSU need later?

The closed-loop AIO requires no coolant refill; plan to clean the radiator fins and replace the three 140mm fans if noise rises after several years. The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W 80 PLUS Gold unit has Japanese main capacitors rated for long life; only the 140mm PSU fan may eventually need a swap.

What limit appears first when the Ryzen 9 9950X and RTX PRO 5000 run sustained workloads?

The 360mm Quiet Edition radiator surface area becomes the thermal bottleneck before the 1200W PSU or 48GB GPU memory; coolant temperature stabilises higher than on larger loops, so CPU boost clocks settle below the 5.70 GHz single-core maximum during long renders.
