System purpose and audience

This desktop is built around a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, 192GB of DDR5 memory and a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card with 16GB video memory. It targets professionals who need high core counts for modelling, video editing, rendering and AI workloads while also wanting strong gaming performance.

Who this fits and who it does not

The configuration suits users who want a ready-to-run Windows 11 Pro workstation with liquid CPU cooling, a 1TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive and extensive USB connectivity including USB4 at 40Gbps. It is not for buyers who require more internal storage bays than the two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch slots provided, or who need a second graphics card for multi-GPU compute tasks.

Deciding specification

The 192GB DDR5 capacity is the single figure that determines whether this system matches the workload; it is also the maximum memory the motherboard supports, so no further RAM upgrades are possible.

Questions about this item

What USB4 speed does the PRIME X870-P motherboard provide on its rear Type-C ports?

The rear panel includes two USB4 ports at 40 Gbps, each using a USB Type-C connector.

What are the case dimensions and drive-bay counts for the Corsair 4000D?

The tower measures 490 mm deep, 239 mm wide and 486 mm high, with two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch internal bays.

How is the 360 mm liquid cooler mounted, and which step is often missed?

The radiator attaches to the case roof or front with the supplied fans; the step many forget is connecting the pump-header cable to the CPU_FAN header so the motherboard can control speed.
