Workstation desktop for CAD and modelling

This mid-tower system pairs a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D with 192GB DDR5 memory and an Nvidia RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell 16GB graphics card. Liquid cooling and an 850W 80 PLUS Bronze supply support sustained workloads. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Storage upgrade path and when it matters

The 4TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe drive delivers read speeds up to 7450 MB/sec and write speeds up to 6900 MB/sec over PCIe 4.0x4. A 10TB hard drive with 256MB cache adds bulk capacity. The motherboard provides four M.2 connectors for future expansion.

Professional users needing certified drivers.

ISV-certified drivers suit SolidWorks, CAD, CAM and CAE workflows. Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5Gb Ethernet handle collaborative environments. Buyers who want higher frame rates in games or need more than 16GB VRAM should look at a different graphics tier.

Questions about this item

What case dimensions and motherboard form factor does the Adamant Custom Ryzen 9 9950X3D system use?

The Antec P20 mid-tower measures 469 x 220 x 490 mm and supports E-ATX motherboards. The PRIME X870-P ATX board fits with room for the 360 mm liquid cooler and four DDR5 slots.

How is the 360 mm liquid cooler mounted, and what step is often missed?

The cooler ships pre-filled. Mount the radiator to the top of the case using the included brackets, then attach the pump block to the AM5 socket with the supplied back-plate. The step many miss is connecting the pump header and the 120 mm fan headers to the motherboard before closing the panel.

Which components will need replacement first in this build?

The Thermaltake Smart 850 W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU and the three 120 mm front case fans are the typical wear items. The Samsung 990 PRO 4 TB NVMe SSD and the 10 TB HDD have 256 MB cache each and long write endurance, while the 192 GB DDR5 kit and RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell 16 GB GPU are solid-state with no moving parts.
